Motorcyclist killed in SH1 accident

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a car in the Waikato.

It occurred just before 8am on State Highway One.

Emergency services are attending and are on the south bound lanes of the Waikato Expressway at Rangiriri.

Police say those lanes will be closed for some time.

Diversions are in place.

North bound traffic is unaffected.

The Waikato Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
