Gisborne police have released the name of the man who died in a house fire north of the city early on Friday morning. Ronald Russell Allison, of Puha, was 88 and lived alone in the house. Gisborne CIB Detective Sergeant Steve Smith says a post mortem examination of Mr Allison's body has been carried out, but the results won't be available for some time.
