Emergency services attend SH5 crash

By: Nina Burton | Upper North Island News | Tuesday August 28 2012 12:27

Emergency services are dealing with a serious crash near Rotorua.

It's on Ngatira Road on State Highway Five near Fitzgerald Glade, and involves three cars, including a truck and trailer unit.

Inspector Lou Alofa from Auckland Police says three people have been taken to Rotorua Hospital with moderate injuries.

"The road is closed and we're in the process of establishing diversion."

Inspector Alofa says an investigation into the cause of the crash is already underway.
