Woman missing in Whitianga for three days

By: Nina Burton | Upper North Island News | Saturday April 21 2012 15:17

Police in Whitianga are trying to find a woman who's been missing for three days.

Shirley Loft, who is 77-years-old, was last seen at around 8am on Thursday morning.

She hasn't been seen since telling her brother she was going for a practice drive at Coroglen,

Constable Don Edgecombe says there haven't been any sightings of her car - a wine red Ford Taurus sedan, registration UZ5577.

He says Ms Loft has depression and is prone to anxiety and panic attacks, and left without her wallet and medication.

Constable Edgecombe says her bank account hasn't been accessed since Wednesday.

He says Shirley's around 157cm tall, of lean build with short cropped hair, and was wearing jeans with a top and jacket.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
