Kaipara's interim rates invoices delayed

| Upper North Island News | Friday August 3 2012 16:47

Technical problems mean the Kaipara District Council won't be able to send out interim rates invoices until next week.

Corporate service manager Barbara Ware says a printer has printed the form one centimetre further down the page than it should've been.

She says it doesn't sound like much, but it means the information won't be sitting in the right place.

Ms Ware says this means the council is unable to meet the requirement under the Local Government Act for ratepayers to receive the invoice 14 days before the due date of August 20.

She says the council will hold an extraordinary meeting in two weeks to reset the due date to September 10.
