Dispute with Hamilton 400 organisers settled

By: Annabel Reid | Upper North Island News | Saturday April 14 2012 18:12

The man who's been in a dispute with organisers of the Hamilton 400 maintains he was just protecting his patch.

Paul Smart and his family live near the venue of the race and can't go outside when it's on.

The organisers have reached a deal with the family which involves alternate accommodation for next weekend.

Mr Smart says he remained open and honest throughout the whole process, and he's pleased the matter's been settled.

He says he can't comment about what the deal is.
