Fonterra to buy NZ Dairy's Studholme plant

| Lower South Island News | Friday September 7 2012 10:18

Fonterra has been given the green light to buy failed New Zealand Dairyâ s Studholme plant near Waimate.

The Commerce Commission says itâ s satisfied the purchase wonâ t have a negative effect on competition.

The Commission's ruled that since the plant specialises in producing milk products for export, the purchase wonâ t impact on the domestic milk market.

Fonterra has been operating the Studholme plant since New Zealand Dairies went into receivership in May.
