Yet another delay for Stadium Southland rebuild

By: Malcolm Gayfer | Lower South Island News | Thursday September 13 2012 12:40

A set back for the Stadium Southland rebuild.

It's expected completion date has been forced back to July of next year.

Southland Indoor Leisure Charitable Trust chairman Alan Dennis says while it's frustrating to be forced into another delay, the contributing factors were outside their control.

Dennis says progress has slowed down with building standards, geotechnical reports and complex engineering all having an impact on the timeline.
