Burst water pipe causes problems in Gore

| Lower South Island News | Saturday August 4 2012 19:21

The water will be out in some areas of Gore until nine tonight after a water pipe burst in the Southland town.

The Gore District Council is working to repair the damage, which has disrupted the supply of the water to the Hilbre Avenue reservoir.

The pipe was uncovered late this afternoon and is being replaced.

However, it will take time to recharge the mains and get air out of the lines.

The Council is urging residents to conserve water and apologises for any inconvenience.
