Police examine murder scene in Okoki

By: Blair Cunningham | Lower North Island News | Tuesday April 17 2012 7:54

Police in Taranaki will be back in Okoki this morning examining the scene where a 50-year-old woman was shot dead.

The 13-year-old charged with her murder has been remanded in the custody of Child Youth and Family until Friday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Coward says police began a forensic examination of the scene yesterday and that will continue.

He says the woman's body was removed from the house last night and will be taken to Palmerston North for a post mortem examination today.
