Woman trapped after car hits power pole

A woman is trapped in a car in Lower Hutt after hitting a power pole.

The accident happened on Stokes Valley Road just before 9pm this evening.

Fire fighters are trying to get the woman out of the car.

A St John Ambulance spokesman says she is in a serious condition.
