Hawke's Bay's Mission Estate Winery has bought a Marlborough vineyard formerly owned by failed Cape Campbell Wines.
The 100 hectare vineyard was placed on the market to repay debts owed by the company, which was placed into receivership almost two years ago.
Mission Estate chief executive Peter Holley says the company bought the vineyard to make sure it was getting fruit from the country's best wine growing regions.
The vineyards previous owners will be retained to manage the vineyard.
