Moa Point Rd reopened after rocks cleared

By: Sam Thompson | Lower North Island News | Friday June 29 2012 9:28

Moa Point Road on Wellington's south coast has reopened after massive waves left roads covered in debris this morning.

Burt motorists are still being warned to take care.

Waves of up to 10m closed Lyall Parade from Moa Point to the roundabout at Tirangi Road, including the tunnel under the Wellington Airport runway.

It had brought down boulders, rocks and other debris.
