Engineers assessing Bulls RSA after crash

By: Nita Blake-Persen | Lower North Island News | Tuesday July 17 2012 13:15

Engineers are to begin assessing damage to the Bulls RSA after a truck ploughed into it this morning.

A 37 year old Dannevirke truck driver died after he failed to negotiate a slight bend and crashed into the building.

Senior Constable Chris Craig says the RSA are in the process of securing the building as there's been extensive damage.

"It has taken a main corner beam out but the building appears to be structurally ok."

Senior Constable Craig says police are still investigating what caused the man to crash.
