Farmer airlifted to hospital

A farmer has been airlifted to hospital with spinal injuries after falling off his motorbike northwest of Napier.

The accident happened just before 8am at a rural property near Patoka.

The 37-year-old was taken to Hawke's Bay Regional hospital in Hastings for further treatment.
