Sentencing today for sexual violation of step-daughter

A Napier man found guilty of sexually violating his five-year-old step-daughter will be sentenced this morning.

Kerry Charles Ratana has admitted the manslaughter of Sahara Baker-Koro in her Onekawa home in 2010.

The 25-year-old faced a charge of sexual violation in the High Court at Napier last month after no verdict was reached at a trial last year.

Ratana will be sentenced on both charges today.
