Street kids may have started Hamilton blaze

By: Annabel Reid | Latest Hamilton News | Wednesday September 5 2012 15:35

It's thought a large fire at a tyre shop in Hamilton this morning may have been started by street kids.

Emergency services were called to AH Franks Tyres on Anglesea Street in Hamilton just before five this morning, and found the building well-alight.

The store's manager Jim Nolan says they've had a problem with street kids hanging around at the back of the store.

"And when we discovered what they were doing, we tried to get rid of them by getting rid of some of their possessions and there's a risk that they took umbridge."
