Child sex offender hands himself in

A convicted child sex offender who's been on the run in the Waikato has handed himself into police.

Michael Stevens is now back in custody and is set to appear in court today.

The 26-year-old was convicted of child sex offences in 2004, and has breached his supervision conditions upon his release from prison.
