Man found in car - cause of death still unclear

By: Annabel Reid | Latest Hamilton News | Tuesday April 10 2012 10:50

A post mortem is to be carried out tomorrow on the body of a man found in a car in Hamilton.

A member of public alerted police to the discovery at the Clyde Street Shops shortly before 8am today.

The body of a Polynesian man was in the front passenger seat of a silver Toyota Celica.

The vehicle and the body have since been removed to allow detectives to complete a scene examination, and minimise disruption to retailers and the community.

The man's yet to be formally identified and police say a cause of death is unclear at this stage.
