Sadness over prospect of losing Rangiora preschool

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Wednesday October 17 2012 7:16

The prospect of losing a Rangiora preschool has saddened a number of those who live in the area.

The Nursery School located on the grounds of Rangiora High has been told to move out as the secondary institution now need the building for their own use.

The preschool's been given until December next year to move on.

Rangiora Nursery School Management Committee President Sue Cochran says they've been on the site for 74 years and have touched most Rangiora families.

"It's really, really saddening. We have got many families to come, to go through this fabulous place, and it would be sad to think that Rangiora would lose such a valuable community asset."

Sue Cochran says they'll do all they can to remain there.
