Chch quake recovery advocates being discussed

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Thursday September 13 2012 10:51

The need for Earthquake Recovery Community advocates for Christchurch is being discussed by city councillors this morning.

A committee recommendation asks for the establishment of four full time positions, with each being directly assigned to community boards.

Those with the greater need will get their own advocate and others will have to share the resource.

A council staff member says he's concerned about the restrictive nature of assigning an employee to a specific area.
