CERA revises central city red zone

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Wednesday August 29 2012 8:03

The red-zone in Christchurch's central city is being reduced.

The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority has advised that Tuam Street will be open to one lane east-to-west by the end of next week.

A CERA spokesperson says this is a key development in the red zone reduction plan.

Durham Street North, by the Crown Plaza site, will also be opened to two-lanes by Friday.
