Department looking into trucks incident

The Department of Labour is investigating how a man was killed and another seriously injured by two trucks in Christchurch.

The incident occurred in Sullivan Avenue in the suburb of Woolston occurred at 3:30pm yesterday.

Two drainage trucks were pumping out the drains under the road when one of the trucks rolled back, trapping two workers.

One died from his injuries, the other was taken to Christchurch hospital in a serious condition.
