Stolen security passes to red zone remain at large

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Monday October 1 2012 8:05

There'll be extra vigilance at entrances to Christchurch's central city red zone as stolen security passes remain at large.

Late last week five cars were ransacked, and items stolen include uniforms, red zone entry IDs and demolition order books.

Constable Matthew Reeves says none of the items has yet been recovered.

He praises the quick thinking of one of the theft victims who's already contacted CERA and army checkpoints to report that the IDs are missing.
