Bus smashes into powerpole in Chch

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Thursday September 6 2012 13:47

Ten people have been assessed for injuries, after a bus took out a power pole in Christchurch.

The Orbiter bus crashed into the concrete pole on Centaurus Road in St Martins just after 1.30 pm.

The Fire Service says they have two trucks at the scene and are helping police deal with the situation, with power lines down across the road.

St John say they have taken two patients to Christchurch Hospital, one with serious injuries and one with moderate injuries.

The other passengers have sustained only minor injuries.
