Central City property owners have hinted they could still look at launching court action against the blueprint for rebuilding the Christchurch CBD.
Around 150 owners attended a public meeting last night, to hear what legal rights they have during the Government's land acquisition plan.
Christchurch-based Lane Neave lawyers told the crowd it will be a very tough ask to seek a judicial review on whether the Earthquake Minister has overstepped his powers in taking land for the blueprint.
Poplar Lane developer Lisle Hood says despite that, he still believes some action may be appropriate.
"I believe that it's actually in the CERA Act that they are supposed to be developing the way forward with the property owners, so they haven't even been following the things that are in the Act."
