Six Chch properties at risk of slips

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Wednesday August 15 2012 19:36

Christchurch residents are being asked to self-evacuate again tonight.

Six properties in the Hillsborough suburb are at risk of slips after heavy rain entered cracks in the cliff.

Christchurch City Council Environment General manger, Jane Parfitt says it is a precautionary measure.

She says so far there's been no land movement, but geotechnical staff have reassessed the area and advise that they move away for a second night.
