Christchurch train death not suspicious

By: Anna Cross | Latest Christchurch News | Monday February 18 2013 12:50

Christchurch police say the death of a woman who was struck by a train isn't suspicious.

Sheena Wright died after being hit by a train near the Hornby shopping complex just before 5.00AM Saturday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Darryl Sweeney says investigators are continuing enquiries into the fatality after speaking to associates of the deceased, and establishing the 41-year-old's movements prior to the incident.

He says the death will now also be referred to the coroner.
