Police searching for man in relation to assault

By: Jacqui Stanford | Latest Christchurch News | Saturday August 11 2012 23:46

Police in Christchurch are looking for a fat man with acne scars on his cheeks, who a young woman says took off on a mountain bike after attacking her.

The 21-year-old says she was grabbed by a man and wrestled to the ground on the corner of Fenchurch Street and Tuckers Road at about 6:20pm last night.

She says she was able to break free and run home, from where she called police.

Detective Dion Murray says police are looking for a Maori man in his late teens or early 20s, who is about six foot tall and fat, with acne scars on his cheeks.
