Canterbury schools blueprint set to be released

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Wednesday September 5 2012 17:54

The blueprint for schools in Canterbury will be released next week.

The Education Minister is meeting with school leaders in Christchurch next Thursday before the announcement is made public.

The Education Renewal Recovery Programme document was meant to be released last month, but has been delayed.

Minister Hekia Parata says their announcements next week will reflect feedback received from the sector that they have an opportunity to do something different and innovative.

She says the plans will foster closer connections across the education sector, from early childhood education, primary, secondary and tertiary.
