A group representing around 400 Christchurch residents whose properties remain in limbo are annoyed there's still no certainty on the fate of their homes. Orange-zoned Southshore residents were originally told they'd hear whether their homes could be repaired or not by the end of April. But, there's been no decision yet and CERA's Chief Executive Roger Sutton is apologising for not meeting the deadline. Southshore Residents Association chair Bob Stevenson says it's frustrating to have no idea on when they're likely to get answers. "I'd rather simply say it's going to by July before you know anything, and then stick to that date, rather than it'll be next month, it'll be next month, it'll be next month. Because that's worn awfully thin over the last six or seven months." Photo: NZ Herald |
