Stadium news unlikely to speed up other decisions

| Latest Christchurch News | Thursday October 18 2012 5:26

The news on AMI Stadium doesn't mean decisions on other iconic Christchurch buildings will come any quicker.

Insurance company Civil Assurance say AMI Stadium can be repaired, but residents are still awaiting news on the fate of such buildings as the Town Hall.

CEO Tim Sole says Cantabrians shouldn't expect that news anytime soon.

"It's been two years since the first earthquake, so nothing's happening very quickly. So it's going to be months before some of these decisions are made."

Tim Sole says they're working hard with almost a billion dollars worth of work to process and these sorts of announcements take time.
