High interest in new Chch housing development

| Latest Christchurch News | Wednesday October 17 2012 6:54

The manager of a major housing development in Christchurch says there has been a lot of interest from residents in the east of the city.

The first 200 sections at Prestons in the north east are now up for sale, but the titles wont be available until December next year.

It will eventually cater for up to two thousand 500 homes, and AON has come on board offering insurance packages for those keen to buy in.

Development Manager David Schwartfeger says for some in the east it gives them an option which is in close proximity.

"We're working our way through those people who've made an inquiry, but certainly we'll expect given that there was sadly a lot of damage on the eastern side of town that this is the closest development to them, and hopefully it provides them with a housing option.
