The Government has announced where the newest temporary accommodation village in Christchurch will be built.
20 two-bedroom units will soon become available on the Rawhiti Domain in New Brighton.
A further 43 units will be placed on the site over the following months, as the need arises.
Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee says their temporary accommodation service is currently working with over 3-hundred households needing short-term housing.
Mr Brownlee says they've been monitoring demand in the market, and time has come to increase supply.
