Arrests made in paintball drive-by

By: Jacob Brown | Latest Christchurch News | Wednesday May 2 2012 9:34

Christchurch police have arrested two youths in relation to a paintball shooting in the city.

A 17-year-old woman suffered soreness to her back and a badly swollen lip after being hit several times by paintballs on Saturday afternoon.

The shots were allegedly fired from a passing car on Innes Road in the suburb of St Albans.

Two 16-year-old men have been charged with assault with an airgun, and will appear in the Christchurch Youth Court.

Police are thanking the public for their help, as the arrests came about directly due to public response.
