Minister opens new Rolleston police station

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Christchurch News | Thursday September 6 2012 14:35

Police Minister Anne Tolley has officially opened the new police station at Rolleston near Christchurch.

The Minister did the honours at a special event this morning.

The $1.6 million facility is on time and on budget after construction began in February.

Ms Tolley says the station gives police greater viability, as it's nearer to the local community and more accessible to the public.
