Bus on fire on motorway

A bus is on fire on Auckland's north-western motorway.

The Fire Service started getting calls about the fire at 7.45 this morning.

The bus is on the shoulder on the west bound side of the motorway, just before the St Lukes turnoff.

One fire engine is at the scene and another two are on the way.

Newstalk ZB traffic producer Natalie Beran can see the bus.

"There was a lot of smoke for awhile, it's not cleared a little bit. It looks like we've got a least four fire units on scene at the moment," Ms Beran says.
