Waterfront projects win big at Architecture awards

By: Jacob Brown | Latest Auckland News | Friday October 12 2012 5:02

Three of Auckland's waterfront projects have picked up accolades at this year's Auckland Architecture Awards.

28 projects figure in the awards, which were announced last night at the Viaduct Events Centre.

The Cloud won an award in the Public Architecture section, while Karanga Plaza scored a win in the Planning and Design category.

Popular North Wharf eatery Jack Tar was also a winner in the Heritage section.

Council organisation Waterfront Auckland was responsible for delivering all three projects, in the lead up to last year's Rugby World Cup.
