Ponsonby site development plans released

| Latest Auckland News | Friday August 24 2012 14:32

Plans for the development of a massive vacant building site between Pollen Street, Crummer Road and Williamson Avenue in Ponsonby have been unveiled.

Progressive Enterprises, which owns the site, is going through the resource consent process today, presenting plans which include a modern Countdown supermarket.

Countdown spokesman, Luke Schepel, says the new development will be a mixture of commercial and residential structures.

"Today is all about presenting our plans to the local community, which essentially involves a supermarket, speciality retail and office building developments and also a commercial and residential architectural precinct."

The 13,609sqm site will also include five levels of below-ground car parks and 950sqm of retail space along street edges.
