Another twist in Akl integrated ticketing saga

By: Annabel Reid | Latest Auckland News | Friday November 9 2012 4:56

Another twist to the ongoing Auckland integrated ticketing saga.

The Auditor-General's been asked to review Steven Joyce's role in the set up of the Snapper card before the full Auckland integrated ticketing project.

Labour's transport spokesman, Phil Twyford, says the then Transport Minister wanted to dump the integrated ticketing project because he thought Snapper could do it instead.

He believes Mr Joyce was lobbied by Snapper to push officials to let them back onto the project, after they lost the competitive tender.

The Auditor-General's office says the papers haven't arrived yet.
