Mission meets winter appeal target

The Auckland City Mission's Winter Appeal has ended on a high note by meeting its target.

Three weeks ago it wasn't looking so good.

The Mission sent out an urgent call for more donations.

Things were looking so shaky the Mission was looking at having to cut services.

Auckland City Missioner Diane Robertson says the response to that appeal has been tremendous, they've met their target and she's overwhelmed by the generosity of Aucklanders.
