Fortnight for 'Occupy' protestors to collect property

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Auckland News | Thursday July 26 2012 11:41

Occupy Auckland protesters are being given a fortnight to collect their property.

They camped on four sites in central Auckland between October last year and January.

The Auckland Council has put an ad in The New Zealand Herald telling people they need to write to the council, saying where the property was seized from and giving a description.

They must also agree not to illegally occupy or re-occupy a public space.

The council will then arrange an appointment with the person claiming the property.

It says it has a right to keep any items it thinks will be used to breach bylaws.
