Person trapped in vehicle rushed to hospital

A person's been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being trapped in their car in central Auckland.

Firefighters freed the driver, who was found on Great North Road at Waterview, not long after 4am.

It's not yet clear how the person came to be trapped, or whether any other car was involved in what happened.
