NZ Bus apologises for inconvenience caused

By: Nina Burton | Latest Auckland News | Friday August 10 2012 14:36

NZ Bus is apologising for the inconvenience caused by a stop work meeting in Auckland today.

Services by North Star, GO WEST, Metrolink, City, Inner and Outer Link, and Waka Pacific are being suspended until 4:30pm.

The stoppage started at 11am, as Tramways and First Union members meet to discuss failed pay negotiations.

Shane McMahon from NZ Bus says fortunately the school bus service isn't affected.

"About 900 of our people are represented by unions who are meeting this afternoon and that's out of 1000 drivers in Auckland so we've got limited ability to cover services during the time of the meeting."
