Elderly man on mobility scooter goes wrong way

A novel way to get to work for your Monday morning commute.

Police received a number of calls shortly after 10.30am this morning, alerting staff to an elderly man who'd decided to take his mobility scooter for a spin on Auckland's south eastern highway.

To make things worse, he was going the wrong way.

A short time later police caught up with the man, and directed him off the busy road.
