Auckland's bus network is facing a major shakeup. The plans by Auckland Transport involve changes to around 400 services. The New Zealand Herald reports regular services could be cut to about 130, bolstered by 40 peak-only commuter runs. But the frequency of services is set to increase to every 15 minutes, or better, between 7am and 7pm. It's also considering dividing the city into zones which would mean the bus network would be similar to the one that operates in London. The plan opens for public submissions today.
