Auckland's fan trail back in action

| Latest Auckland News | Saturday August 25 2012 17:28

One of the stars of the Rugby World Cup will be back in action today, and we're not talking about an All Black.

Auckland's Fan Trail is being resurrected for the Bledisloe Cup Test against the Wallabies at Eden Park.

Starting at Auckland's waterfront on Queen Elizabeth Square, the trail follows the same 4.3km route it used during the Rugby World Cup.

Jennah Wootten from Auckland's major events body ATEED says during the Rugby World Cup, 130,000 people walked the route.

"Families were getting out there and enjoying it. It's a great free night of entertainment and we've got some pretty special acts and really new initiatives that people haven't seen before. So I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised when they get out there."
