Submissions open for O'Connell Street upgrade

By: Anna Cross | Latest Auckland News | Monday August 27 2012 7:30

Aucklanders are being asked to have their say on the upgrade of O'Connell Street in the city.

Proposed draft designs include creating a sustainable street-scape which gives pedestrians priority.

It also looks to support businesses and residents by providing more space for outdoor activities.

To achieve this, the plans include getting rid of all but four on-street car parking spaces.

People can view the designs and give feedback until September 14.
