Truck driver wanted to help in fatal police crash

By: Lesley Deverall | Latest Auckland News | Tuesday August 28 2012 15:20

South Auckland police investigating last Wednesday's fatal crash involving a police car on the way to a job want to hear from a truck driver who would have seen the whole thing.

Forty-seven-year-old Liku Onesi died in the crash on Ormiston Road in Counties Manukau.

Police say a medium sized white truck was stopped at the intersection of Ormiston and Preston Roads around the time of the crash, at 8.40am.

They're urging the driver, or anyone who knows who he may be, to contact them.
