Auckland's 'Cloud' looks set to stay

By: Annabel Reid | Latest Auckland News | Tuesday July 24 2012 8:06

The Cloud on Auckland's waterfront looks set to stay.

The Government and Auckland Council have agreed in principle to keep the $9.8 million structure, but who will manage it, remains up in the air.

It was put up by the government for last year's Rugby World Cup and the council has indicated it wants the Cloud to stay.

Auckland Council chief executive Doug McKay says he's asked Waterfront Auckland to manage the Cloud because it's the same body responsible for the construction of the cruise ship terminals on Queens Wharf.
